AFFIDEA IS A CHILDREN'S VACCINATION CENTER OF THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID.

Affidea is a vaccination center since 2011. In September 2011 the Public Health Service of Area 9 issued a favorable report to authorize the supply of vaccines for child vaccination to Affidea, authorizing the Disease Prevention Service of the Madrid Health Service to administer vaccines to children, as well as the health centers of the Community of Madrid.

As of January 1, 2015, the children's vaccination schedule of the Community of Madrid was adjusted to adapt to the common vaccination schedule established for all the Autonomous Communities. In addition, as of December 2015, vaccination against varicella began for children aged 15 months 2*, who will receive a second dose at 4 years of age, including, once again, varicella vaccination in the childhood vaccination schedule.

Madrid brings forward the implementation of this measure to start vaccinating children who did not receive the dose during the only two years in which it was not provided in the region. In addition to modifying the childhood vaccination schedule to improve the prevention of minors, the Ministry of Health is carrying out, starting in 2016, a recruitment campaign to vaccinate with the first dose, those born from October 2012 to August 2014.

Anyone who wants to be vaccinated with vaccines not included in the vaccination schedule (Rotateq or Meningococcal B, etc.) can buy the vaccine at any pharmacy and bring it to the center to be administered by professionals.
