Wisdom Teeth (wisdom teeth)
The third molars (wisdom teeth) are the teeth that are most frequently included. From their formation until their definitive placement in the arch, they can cause various pathological phenomena, in this case we will carry out the therapeutic extraction of the wisdom tooth. If it has not caused any pathology, we can proceed to a prophylactic extraction in order to avoid possible future problems.
Retained teeth
It is called a “retained tooth” when no physical obstacle, dental malposition or abnormal development is identified to explain the interruption of its normal eruption. Retention can be primary, when the tooth is in the thickness of the maxillary bone, or secondary, in the case that once the tooth emerges into the oral cavity, its eruption stops. Although any of the temporary, permanent or supernumerary teeth could be retained in the jaws, the upper canines and third molars (especially the lower ones) are the most prone to present this anomaly.
