Colonoscopy


Colonoscopy is a type of endoscopy used to examine the inside of the colon and rectum with a colonoscope and if necessary also the end part of the small intestine.

There are different objectives for which a colonoscopy can be performed: to locate any polyps or adenomas, colon cancer screening, to look for causes of unexpected changes in bowel habits, to evaluate symptoms of pain, rectal bleeding and weight loss, diagnosis of Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis...
