Breast Lift or Mastopexy

It is an intervention that is performed in order to reshape and lift sagging breasts after pregnancy, breastfeeding or weight gain or loss.

Due to aging there is a change in the shape and sagging of the breasts. The nipples and areolas, in the lower part of the breasts, are an indication for this surgery.

Occasionally, you may need the placement of a silicone implant in order to obtain a further filling of the upper part of the breast.

Procedure

• It consists of removing part of the skin and occasionally the mammary gland from the lower part of the breast and repositioning the breast parenchyma in the desired position.

• General anesthesia is required.
