Medical examination for dangerous dogs

This psycho-technical requires that all persons who are owners of animals classified as potentially dangerous, have to obtain an official medical certificate accrediting the fitness for the possession of such animals. In Affidea we carry out the certificate of physical and psycho-technical aptitude for the possession of potentially dangerous animals as established in Law 50/1999.

NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION FOR THE PERMIT FOR POSSESSION OF DANGEROUS ANIMALS

• Valid DNI/NIE.

• Passport size photograph.

Once you have passed the medical and psycho-technical tests, we will give you the medical certificate that you will have to present in your town hall.

WHICH ARE THE ANIMALS CLASSIFIED AS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS?

• Dogs of the breeds listed in Annex I of Royal Decree 287/2002: Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffodshire Terrier, Rottweiler, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Tosa Inu, Akita Inu.

• Dogs trained for attack or defense.

• Guard dogs.

• Any specimen of canine species that shows an aggressive character.

• Animals that have had episodes of attacks and/or aggressions.

• Wildlife animals used as domestic or companion animals.

• Domestic animals with the capacity to cause serious or fatal injuries.
