Affidea continues its expansion in Spain with the acquisition of Clínica Algete in Madrid
Affidea España reaches 43 centers in our country, strengthens its business model and expands its portfolio of services.
Affidea Spain continues with its firm commitment to promote advanced diagnostic services, as well as to increase the provision of outpatient medical care and to start new lines of business in occupational prevention and health services in companies' own premises.
Madrid, November 7, 2022-. Affidea, Europe's largest provider of advanced diagnostic, outpatient and oncology services, has announced the acquisition of the companies Vipresa S.L., Sermedes and Dresyven Prevención, which focus their activities on Clínica Algete, an accredited outpatient medical provider in Algete (Madrid). With this acquisition, Affidea España adds to its business lines prevention and occupational health services for companies, while further expanding its outpatient services in the Community of Madrid, where it already has 15 centers.
This renowned medical center in Algete has 62 professionals, 27 of them doctors, and a wide range of more than 30 specialties (*).
Clínica Algete, founded in 1991, provides a wide range of healthcare services in collaboration with mutual insurance companies for occupational accidents. It also provides services for medical societies, collaborating in the medical assistance of school, work, sports and psycho-technical accidents in recreational boat skipper, permit for possession of dangerous animals, obtaining and renewing weapons licenses, installers, crane operators, private security and obtaining and renewing driving licenses. Clínica Algete is also one of the 23 companies accredited in Spain to perform Railway Medical Examinations.
Through Vipresa, the company carried out more than 7,500 health campaigns in 2021 and is the Vaccination Center of the Community of Madrid. Dresyven Prevención, as an Occupational Risk Prevention Service, has a center located in the center of Madrid, serves more than 10,000 workers and has carried out more than 5,000 occupational examinations during the past year.

With this acquisition, Affidea reaches 43 centers in Spain, serving more than 545,000 patients each year and working with more than 1,100 professionals. Affidea Spain expands its geographical presence throughout the national territory, with a reinforced capacity in outpatient services that allows it to be one of the preferred healthcare providers for companies and private health insurers.
